Design notes
  • Fixed cameras cover the gate, driveway, side passages and rear access around the clock.

  • Camera positions are checked on site for field of view, day and night lighting and tamper risk.

What we check before handover

  • Coverage zones and your highest-value assets confirmed with you
  • Camera positions, mounting height and field of view checked
  • Day and night picture tested on site
  • Motion and person detection tuned to avoid nuisance alerts
  • Remote phone access and user permissions set up
  • Recording, playback, event search and footage export tested
  • Date, time, time zone and camera names set
  • UPS or solar backup tested, including recovery after a power cut
  • Surge and lightning protection and earthing checked where needed
  • Storage size, retention days and overwrite behaviour recorded
  • Operating guidance and a handover record for you to keep

How we size storage

  • Storage is worked out from the number of cameras, resolution, frame rate, compression, recording mode and the number of days you need to keep, not by habit.
  • Our designs follow the site-survey and requirements approach of the U.S. DHS SAVER CCTV Technology Handbook; every camera and recorder is checked against the current manufacturer datasheet.
